Big Tex Lays Down the Law

It seems that people do not know what they should do/should'nt do on the bus. Therefore Big Tex will let you know whats appropo.

Allright, while applying makeup certainly does bug me to a certain amount, there are two things which bug me even more. Singing and talking. Now, I understand that it is occasionally important to use your cell phone to make a call, but there is no reason to conduct a long conversation. Furthermore it is not neccesary to speak so loudly that the entire bus can hear your voice. Nobody cares about whatever it is you did. Trust me, you dont lead an interestingly enough life that I would want to hear about it on your cell phone. Laughing loudly also is not neccesary. I dont care what YOU think is funny, nor do I want to hear the joke thjrough your laughter.

Ok, so now that you have hung up your cell phone, you take out your headphones and start listening to your music. That is a good start, but do not ruin it by starting to sing along with your favorite song. No matter how much you try your voice will sound nothign like your favorite artist. Furthermore you are just irritating everyone on the bus. Nobody wants to hear you sing at the top of your lungs nor do they want to pull their fingernails out with a pair of pliers. Both are bad, but your singing is just a tad worse. If you feel the need to sing, stuff a sock in your mouth, better yet, why dont you turn your music off and read something.

So what should you do on a bus you ask? Why dont you look out the window. If you are on the Lake Shore Bus, you will be able to see Lake Michigan or Lincoln Park. How about areading a newspaper? All citites have newspapers, and if you live in CHicago you can choose between the Chicago Tribune or Chicago Sun Times. I have read both of them and will offer my opinion of both in the next few days. How about reading a book? Yeah, you know those things the library is always giving away for a couple of weeks at a time? They are called books. Get your ass to the library immediatly and get a couple for your next bus trip.
